Our guest speaker is GOP Secretary of State Candidate Representative Brad Raffensperger

 

Rep. Brad Raffensperger represents the citizens of District 50, in the city of Johns Creek in north Fulton County. He was elected into the House of Representatives in 2015. Representative Raffensperger serves on the Energy, Utilities & Telecommunications, Intragovernmental Coordination, and Juvenile Justice committees.

Prior to Brad’s election to District 50, he served for three years on the Johns Creek City Council developing a deep understanding of city council issues and the critical relationship between cities and their counties. He worked on opposing tax hikes, introduced a 1 mill property tax cut and legislation to fight illicit massage establishments and human trafficking.

 

Brad Raffensperger is CEO/Owner of Tendon Systems, LLC focused on specialty contracting and engineering design. Brad is a Registered Professional Engineer in over 25 States and a Licensed General Contractor in 10 states. He is also a member of several trade and professional associations.

 

During Brad’s construction and professional career he worked on four nuclear power plants and several hydro-electric dam strengthening projects. Brad understands and appreciates the benefits, complexity and cost of energy projects and welcomes the opportunity to serve on the Energy Committee.

 

Brad is a current board member of the Ed Isakson YMCA. He is also a member of North Point Community Church, where he mentored 25 middle school students. As a volunteer in a ministry focused at a Gwinnett youth detention center, Brad worked with other volunteers to help mentor, minister and support incarcerated youth. He understands the complex nature of these issues and appreciates his appointment to serve on the Juvenile Justice Committee.

 

Brad earned a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Western University and was awarded his MBA from Georgia State University. Brad and his high school sweetheart, Tricia have been married for over 35 years and have three adult sons, a grandson and granddaughter. A promotion with his employer brought Brad and his family from Virginia to Duluth in 1982, and they have lived in Johns Creek since 1998

 

 


We meet at 799 Roswell Street, Marietta (2 blocks west of the Big Chicken – the Cobb County Republican Party HQ.) This is our usual 3rd Monday meeting.***NEW VENUE***
