Georgia Tea Party  Welcomes – (R) District 48 Georgia State Representative Dr. Betty Price



Representative Betty Price was elected to the Georgia House of Representatives in a special election in July of 2015 to represent House district 48, which includes the largest portion of Roswell and some of Alpharetta.

Representative Betty Price graduated with honors from Cocoa Beach High School in Florida, earned her B.A. from Pomona College in California and received a scholarship to McGill University in Montreal, where later was conferred her Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree. She completed her internship and residency training at the Emory University Affiliated Hospitals, and met her future husband, Tom, a fellow physician, at Grady Memorial Hospital. She worked for over 20 years in the medical field practicing Anesthesiology in Roswell and Marietta. She served on the Boards of the Medical Association of Atlanta and the Medical Association of Georgia and is a past president of the American Medical Women’s Association in Atlanta. For her service, she received the President’s Award from the Medical Association of Atlanta and a Phenomenal Women of North Fulton award.

In 2017 Rep. Betty Price was tapped as a Deputy Whip for the GOP caucus, elected Secretary of the Fulton County Delegation, and serves on the following committees in the Georgia House of Representatives.
